John Harsanyi
John C. Harsanyi was born on 29 May 1920, in Budapes, Hungary). He research game theory and economics, specifically for development of highly innovative analysis of games of incomplete information.
When he was child went to high school in the Lutheran Gymnasium in Budapest and became one of the best mathematicians.
He also won first prize in mathematics Eötvös Eötvös. Harsanyi wanted to study mathematics and philosophy, but his father who owned a pharmacy and din’t let him send him to France in 1939 to study chemidtry engineering at the University of Lyon.
In 1944 he won a diploma at the University of Budapest. In 1994 he won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Chief.
He died on 9 August 2000 in Berkeley (California)
